The board of MOAS has on October 27, 2011 confirmed the rents and other usage fees for the year 2012, and the updated prices are now seen on our website under the link "Apartments".

The rent given in the houses' details is for a whole apartment i.e. in a shared apartment the mentioned amount will be divided by the number of tenants.
The rent given do not include additional usage fees that depend on the house / on the apartment.

Those who applied for a car heating place have now been given own places from the beginnning of November on.

You can ask for vacant heating places in our office throughout the winter.
Note that especially in those houses where there are small parking areas all the places are easily reserved latest at the time when winter really begins.

MOAS board has confirmed new security deposits:
Security deposit for shared apartments 300,00 €.
Security deposit for single and family apartments 400,00 €.

New security deposits are valid for the rental contracts that begin on January 1, 2012 or later.

Internet Service Provider Concept.10 has informed that the problems there have been with the cable modem network over the past few weeks are now solved.

Tenants should, however, once more restart their modems ie. take the electricity plug away from the socket for a few minutes. When the modem restarts it gets the newest settings of the network.

There will be a break in the cable modem connections of Concept.10 on Tuesday September 20, 2011 at 2.30am. The break will last about 10-15 minutes. and 6.00am.

NOTE! Afterwards the cable modem might need to be turned off for a little while (ie. remove the electrical plug from the socket)!

Match of the 2nd football division between Mikkelin Palloilijat (MP) and Klubi-04 (from Helsinki) will be played in Urheilupuisto on Sunday June 12, 2011 at 6.30pm and MOAS is the host of the match together with Mikalo Oy.

MOAS and MP have agreed that all students have free access to this match by showing their student card at the gate. The tenants of MOAS's youth apartments can pick up a ticket from MOAS office

The speed of the Internet connection in each of MOAS apartment is doubled to 4M during the week 18/2011.
The price of the Internet remains, however, the same!!

NOTE! To get the new speed the cable modem has to be turned off for a little while ie. remove the electrical plug from the socket latest on Friday May 6, 2011 in the evening.
When the modem then restarts it will automatically get the new settings.

There will be changes made in the MPY's cable-TV-network on Tuesday March 29, 2011 which might cause interrupts in TV-broadcast between 8.00am and 4.00pm.

To see TV again after the changes, one has to re-search the digital receivers channels on Tuesday March 29, 2011 after 4.00pm. Some receivers might require the default settings to be restored.
TV-channels are opened in about half an hour after the re-search / restore.

The board of MOAS has decided that from January 1, 2009 on the fees for door openings are as follows:
* from 07.00am to 04.00pm (i.e. during working hours on normal working days) EUR 10,00
* from 04.00pm to 07.00am (i.e. outside working hours regardless on the day) EUR 20,00
The one who orders the door opening is repsonsilbe for paying the fee to the janitor with cash. If the fee has to be separately invoiced, the total costs (EUR 25,00 or EUR 50,00) will be charged.

For handling the keys to a new tenant outside office hours the fees are:
* on working days from 04.00pm to 10.00pm and on weekends from 07.00am to 10.00pm EUR 10,00
* always at night time from 10.00pm to 07.00am EUR 20,00
NOTE! If a new tenant wants to get the keys outside office hours the issue has to be agreed in advance with the office.

The above mentioned fees come valid on the 1st of January, 2009.

Analogue tv-transmissions end on the 29th of February, 2008. From the beginning of March on you need to have a digital receiver (digi box or digital television).
All MOAS buildings are connected to cable-tv-network so the digital receiver has to be suitable for cable-tv (marked with letters "DVB-C").

From September 1, 2006 on the MOAS office serves as follows:

Mon-Thu 10.00am - 4.15pm
Fri 10.00am - 3.15pm

In June and July: Mon-Fri 9.00am - 3.15pm.

In addition to these on each month's first and last working day the office serves already from 8.00am on.

Ari Liukkonen, the managing director of MOAS will be 50 on the day before the eve of May 1. He has been in the company's service since 1989.

MOAS has printed stickers which inform of the pets to be glued on to outer doors of those apartments where tenants have pets. This is because of e.g. in an emergency the rescue personnel knows to prepare themselves for the situation and to aslo act to save the pets if the tenants themselves are not at home.

Pet owners can pick up the sticker free of charge from the MOAS office in order to guarantee the safety of their pets.

Glue the sticker on an easily seen place onto the outer door: upright from the door handle approximately 40 cms hihger than the handle. Remember to remove the sticker when moving out.
